I am so happy to have booked through Ted and Robbin at St martin reservation center, ODRC. My husband and I are the first people to stay in this unit. We were taking a little chance, I am glad we did.
The unit is a great value, clean and new. everything is new, well, except the stove and oven, but no worries, I still made a terrific thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen, complete with stuffing and gravy.
I sent a list of things I thought would make the condo better for future renters to Magali who is the local manager and
Ted and Robbin. Within days all of my requests were answered and taken care of.
Everyday for the first week Magali and Gael were here fixing little things and bringing chairs for the pool, throw rugs, mattress pads etc. so, I think everything is in order for future guests.
I loved staying in a more residential neighborhood with local folks, rather than the usual hotel thing. We even had a neighbors dog come visit most nights. That said, be aware that there are only two English stations on the TV, the internet is slow and not always reliable, and it is a 10 minute walk to the complimentary beach chairs, through the condo complex (a one minute walk to the beach though). Not a bad walk at all and only 5 minutes to the village for restaurants and shopping.
I saw a number of other units in the village and have stayed in a few. whatever little things I found lacking here I know that this is one of the better places to be. There is no dryer, but most of the places do not have them. Magali promptly replaced the drying rack I broke by accident.
So, come to St Martin, Magali and Gael will take good care of you here. (one day my husband needed to find a doctor, Magali was so helpful and insisted that we call her cell if we had any trouble navigating the health care here. All was easy and reasonably priced, so no need to call her, but I really appreciated the offer)
St martin truly is the friendly island, we plan to visit again.
