| We spent a week here. Check-in and out was very simple. The staff was informative but left us alone without bugging us to buy this or that. We usually stay at time-shares during previous visits to St Martin so that's what we had to compare this visit to.
We had a "superior king room" which included a continental breakfast. Each building of 4 rooms had its own private pool. We found we were the only room to use the pool as others spent their day on Orient Beach. Orient Beach was a short walk down a paved walkway.
Esmeralda provided a meal card to charge against and restaurants on Orient Beach honored the card as well as the on-site restaurant. The room was cleaned everyday and we were provided clean towels/linens everyday. The pool was cleaned/scrubbed once during our stay and it was super clean.
We decided not to rent a car as everything was very close. Cab ride to/from SXM airport was $30-35. We discovered a convenience store a short walk away where we bought beer, wine, and cheese.
We had a very restful relaxing week and would highly recommend this resort.
